Cloud Collectors Features Introduced in 2022
December 2022
The following features are introduced in Cloud Collectors during December 2022:
Note
The December 2022 release is currently available for Early Access customers. Features will be available for general availability following the December 2022 release.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
New AWS S3 Cloud Collector | The new AWS S3 Cloud Collector is now available from the Cloud Collectors app to facilitate ingestion of logs from Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). This enables log management of your object storage logs within the Exabeam Security Operations Platform. You can also leverage additional correlation and threat detection provided with your Exabeam license. The supported regions for AWS S3 Cloud Collector are US-West, US-East, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Singapore. If you previously set up a cloud connector for this log source in the Cloud Connectors platform, to migrate to the new cloud collector, refer to the migration guidelines for this collector. |
New Splunk Cloud Collector | The new Splunk Cloud Collector is now available from the Cloud Collectors app to facilitate ingestion of logs from the Splunk Cloud using a log collection (pull) option. The Cloud Collector provides an alternative to the Splunk Site Collector which facilitates log ingestion using a push mechanism. |
October 2022
The following features were introduced in Cloud Collectors during October 2022:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
New Cloud Collectors | To facilitate ingestion of logs from additional sources, you can now easily onboard the following collectors from the Cloud Collectors app. The supported regions for AWS CloudTrail and CrowdStrike Cloud Collectors are US-West, US-East, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Singapore. If you previously set up cloud connectors for these sources in the Cloud Connectors platform, refer to the migration guidelines for each collector. |
Reusable Accounts for AWS Cloud Collectors | To streamline the management of external accounts, you can now create a reusable account from the Cloud Collectors app. The account can be reused across one or more Cloud Collectors of the same type and help streamline the onboarding of Cloud Collectors. If credentials change, you can easily update the credentials from a single place and then test the connection for all collectors simultaneously. For this release, only AWS accounts are shareable. |
New Region Support | Exabeam now extends region support for the Zscaler Cloud Collectors to include US-East, Europe, Japan, and Australia. The new region support enables you to onboard Cloud Collectors for customers that belong to these regions. |
August 2022
The following features were introduced in Cloud Collectors during August 2022:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Introducing Exabeam Cloud Collectors | Exabeam Cloud Collectors are now available on the Exabeam Security Operations Platform for all SaaS customers. Cloud Collectors is a new cloud-native app for log data collection across public cloud and SaaS applications. The new cloud collectors take advantage of the multi-tenant and auto-scaling architecture of the Exabeam Security Operations Platform. In this first release, the new app introduces support for the Zscaler ZIA Cloud Collector. If you previously deployed the early access Zscaler ZIA Cloud Connector on the SaaS Cloud Connectors Platform, migration to the new Cloud Collectors app is recommended. You can deploy the Zscaler ZIA Cloud Collector for the US West region with the instance URL *.exabeam.cloud which is supported for deployment. For more information, see the Cloud Collectors Administration Guide. |
