Context Management Features Introduced in 2024
November 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during November 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Filtered Context Tables of Type Other | You can now create a filtered context table that incorporates Other data from an already existing context table. Previously, only User data could be incorporated into filtered context tables. Filtered context tables aggregate the data extracted from the connected source tables according to a set of conditions you define. This functionality allows you to create smaller tables that can be leveraged in downstream processes to focus on specific subsets of your data. For more information, see Working with Filtered Context Tables in the Context Management Administration Guide. |
Pre-Built AI/LLM Dashboards | Context Management now provides new pre-built AI/LLM context tables to support AI/LLM dashboards. These dashboards monitor the use of AI/LLM sites and applications. For more information about the new context tables, see Pre-Built AI/LLM Context Tables in the Context Management Guide. For information about the supported AI/LLM Dashboards, see AI/LLM Dashboards in the Dashboards Guide. |
July 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during July 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Export Context Tables to CSV | Context table data can now be exported in a CSV format for external review and use in downstream applications. When the exported context data is ready for download, you will receive a message in the Exabeam Security Operations Platform notification service. From the notification you can click a link to download the table to your computer. |
Details Panel Consistency | The look and feel of the Details panel for all context table types is now consistent across the Context Management application. Whether you are viewing details for collector-based tables, custom tables, or built-in tables, you can find similar information presented in a standardized display panel. |
May 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during May 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Azure Active Directory Becomes Microsoft Entra ID | To reflect the change in Microsoft product naming, all references to Azure Active Directory have been changed to Microsoft Entra ID in the Context Management application and its documentation. For more information about the name change, see the Microsoft documentation. |
Manual Entries to Collector-based Tables | You can now add records manually to collector-based context tables. Specifically, you can add new records, edit existing records, or delete records in context tables that are sourced from Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, or Okta collectors. Records that you add or edit manually will be represented by a custom icon () in the Source column of the context table. For more information, see any of the following topics: |
CSV Import Process Consistency | The CSV import process is now standardized across the Context Management application. The process for manually adding records to a custom context table via a CSV file import now has the same streamlined look and feel of the process for creating a new custom context table via a CSV import. For more information, see Add Data to Context Table by Uploading a CSV File. |
April 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during April 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Attributes in Custom Tables | You can now include attributes that contain a list of values in custom context tables. Using specific syntax, you can now insert data records that include list attributes into a context table, either manually or via CSV upload. For more information, see any of the following relevant topics in the Context Management Administration Guide: |
February 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during February 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Platform Notifications for Context Management | Platform notifications now provide visibility into context tables that change from a healthy to an error state. In this release, the Exabeam Security Operations Platform supports Context Management as a new notification type. Issues caused by either collecting or processing a context data can generate an error notification for a specific context table. For more information, see Context Management in Platform Notifications in the Context Management Administration Guide. |
Table Name Changes Prohibited | The capability to change the name of an existing context table has been disabled in order to avoid breaking functionality in downstream applications. Therefore, when you open any type of context table for editing, you will not be able to update the name of the table. As a work around, you can recreate a context table and assign it a different name. |
January 2024
The following features were introduced in Context Management during January 2024:
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Improved Onboarding by CSV Import | Further automation is now available to streamline the creation of a custom context table by importing a CSV file. A new option is available to automatically create custom attributes for the new table based on the column headings of your CSV file. When you opt for this automation, you can bypass the attribute creation and mapping steps to speed up the creation of the new context table. For more information, see Create a Custom Context Table by Importing a CSV File in the Context Management Administration Guide. |
