Introduction
Welcome to the Data Lake migration process. This guide provides procedures for migrating each type of Data Lake content to its corresponding cloud-native application in the Exabeam Security Operations Platform, including context tables, saved searches, correlation rules, and dashboards. Following the procedures in this guide, and using the resources it provides, will facilitate the successful migration of your Data Lake content to the Exabeam Security Operations Platform.
A New Information Model
Before getting started, you should be aware that content in the Exabeam Security Operations Platform is based on a common information model. This hierarchical model defines the structure of security content across all Exabeam Security Operations Platform products. For more information about the new model, see Common Information Model in the Security Content Guide.
The introduction of the common information model represents a shift in the way data is classified, so this guide provides useful resources to help you map your Data Lake content in ways that comply with the common information model (see Map Entities to the Common Information Model). This guide also provides step-by-step migration procedures and resources that will help you Adjust Query Syntax, where necessary.
Where to Start
Start your migration process by reading the Preparation section to ensure you complete the necessary prerequisites and to familiarize yourself with the general procedure.
