New Parser Names
With the introduction of the common information model, the conventions for constructing parser names have been standardized. The new parser-naming structure ensures that parser names are consistent across the New-Scale Security Operations Platform and are easily recognizable. All default Exabeam parsers follow the naming structure outlined below and custom parsers should be named according to the same conventions:
Vendor Code – Product Code – Log Type Format – Full Event Name – Operation Code
For a detailed explanation of the new structure, see Parser Naming Conventions in the Security Content Guide.
To find a the new parser name that corresponds to an existing Data Lake parser, consult the set of alphabetical tables in the Matrix of Old to New Parser Names (opens in a GitHub repository).
