Policy Management

An Event Selection policy is a collection of event statements, and these statements define the data that you want to send to Advanced Analytics. If you are using the recommended default Event Selection policy, see Manage a Default Policy Update for info on how to proceed when updates are made to the event statements within it. You can also manually create, edit, and delete the event statements in your policy, and enable or disable them. For more info, see Manage Event Statements.

  • Only one policy is active at a time, but you can save policies and make them active at any time. See Save a Copy of Your Active Policy and Load a Saved Event Selection Policy.

    Important

    Before you make custom changes to your active policy, it's a good idea to save a copy of it in case you need to go back to it later.

  • For occasions when you want to quickly block and unblock vendor and/or product events in your policy so you can focus on specific events, refer to Pre-Block Vendors and Products.
