Add a Visualization to a Dashboard

There are two ways to add a visualization to a dashboard. You can either create a new visualization while in the dashboard edit mode or you can select an existing visualization from the visualization library.

Create a New Visualization from the Dashboard Edit Mode

  1. Open the Dashboards home page and make sure the Dashboards tab is displayed.

  2. Open the dashboard you want to add a visualization to.

  3. In the upper right corner click Edit. The edit mode opens.

  4. Click Add Visualization and select the Create new option.

  5. Follow the steps (starting with Step 2) in the Create a Visualization procedure.

  6. When you complete the procedure for creating the new visualization, click Save to save the dashboard changes.

Select an Existing Visualization from the Library

  1. Open the Dashboards home page and make sure the Dashboards tab is displayed.

  2. Open the dashboard you want to add a visualization to.

  3. In the upper right corner click Edit. The edit mode opens.

  4. Click Add Visualization and select the From library option. The Select visualizations dialog box opens.

  5. When you hover over each visualization in the list, a checkbox appears on the left. Select one or more of the existing visualizations.

  6. Click Add visualizations. The selected visualizations are added to the dashboard.

  7. Move or resize the visualization tiles to configure the layout of the dashboard. For more information, see Modify a Dashboard Layout.

  8. When you complete your modifications, click Save to save the dashboard changes.
