Manage Automatic Refresh Rates

Note

Only the dashboard owner or someone with developer permissions can edit a dashboard. If you need to edit a dashboard that you do not own, you can duplicate the dashboard and edit it as needed. For information on duplicating, see Duplicate a Dashboard.

To optimize data refresh rates for visualizations, you can set a refresh interval that applies to the entire dashboard, and you can also set refresh rates for individual visualization tiles. If you set a refresh rate for the dashboard and apply a different rate to an individual tile, the individual setting overrides the dashboard setting.

To set automatic refresh rates:

  1. Open a dashboard that you want to create a scheduled deliver for.

    • From the Dashboards home page, click more menu icon The more menu; three vertical blue dots on a grey background. for the dashboard that you want to modify, and then click Edit.

      The dashboard opens in edit mode.

    • Open the the dashboard that you want to modify and click the Edit button.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Do one or both of the following:

    • To set a refresh rate for the entire dashboard, click the toggle under Settings to activate automatic refresh, and then enter a number value and select a unit of time.

    • To set a refresh rate for an individual tile, click the corresponding drop-down menu and select Refresh every, and then enter a number value and select a unit of time.

  4. Click Save.
