Prerequisites to Configure the Qualys Cloud Collector
Before you configure the Qualys Cloud Collector, complete the account setup and obtain the Qualys API Server URL. This URL is the endpoint that is used for connecting to the Qualys Cloud Platform through APIs, enabling you to programmatically authenticate your application and interact with various Qualys services.
Set up Qualys Account
To complete the Qualys account setup and API onboarding process, use the following steps.
Complete account registration and Qualys End User License Agreement (EULA) acceptance. For more information, see User Registration Process section in the in the Qualys documentation.
Identify your base API platform endpoint.
Enable API access permissions.
Configure the authentication method.
Generate the JWT web token. For more information, see API Authentication in the Qualys documentation.
Obtain the Qualys API Server URL
Use the following steps to obtain the Qualys API Server URL.
Log in to your Qualys account.
Click the help icon.
Navigate to About > General Information > Qualys Scanner Appliances.
Scroll down to locate the API URL that starts with qualysapi. For example, qualysapi.qualys.com. Refer to the following screenshot as an example.
