Prerequisites to Configure the Sophos Central Cloud Collector

Before you configure the Sophos Central Cloud Collector you must complete the following prerequisites:

  • Generate Client ID and Client Secret or Key for OAuth2 authentication method.

  • Configure firewall and network connections to allow connectivity from New-Scale Security Operations Platform to https://*sophos.com.

Obtain Client ID and Client Secret

Use the following steps to obtain the Client ID and Client Secret.

  1. Log in to your Sophos Central account as an administrator.

  2. In the Sophos Central console, navigate to My Products > General Settings.

  3. Click API Credentials Management.

  4. To generate the client ID and client secret, click Add Credential.

  5. Select a Credential name, add description, select the appropriate role, and click Add.

    The API Credential Summary for this credential displays the Client ID and the Client Secret.

  6. Record the Client ID and Client Secret to use it while configuring the Sophos Central Cloud Collector. Note that you can view the Client Secret only once. For more information see Sophos Central APIs in the Sophos documentation.
