Troubleshooting Cloud Collectors
When there are data ingestion issues, you can view error details and recommended actions in the Error Messages section for the Cloud Collector. Before you investigate the data ingestion errors whenever the errors occur, refer to the following information to understand the structure of the error messages.
The Error Messages section displays the following error details:
Error Message – Description of the error that occurred.
Jump to date – Click to select a particular date for which you want to view the error details.
Error Type – Type of the error that has occurred. The error types include Internal Error, Misconfiguration, Vendor Issue, Unknown, and Vendor's Quota Exhaustion.
Error Code – A specific error code returned by the cloud vendor, if the error occurred as part of an external call.
Failed Requests – Number of error messages of the same type that occurred within one day.
Recommended Action – Information about the error and a possible solution for the end users to remediate the issue.
Full Details – Click to view error details including the error messages received from the cloud vendor while the Cloud Collector fetches data from the cloud vendor. These error details provide more information to help you troubleshoot further.
Copy to Clipboard – Click to copy the error details for future reference.
Data Retention Policy
Based on the Data Retention policy, Cloud Collectors retain maximum of 3 months of collector error data for all the cloud collector instances. The Error Messages section displays data that is stored for the errors that occurred in the past for each cloud collector instance. The error data that is older than 3 months is automatically removed.
