Prerequisites to Configure the Proofpoint On-Demand Cloud Collector
Complete the following prerequisites to configure the Proofpoint On-Demand Cloud Collector:
Obtain a Cluster ID.
Obtain an Access Token.
Ensure that you have the license for Proofpoint Remote Syslog.
Obtain Cluster ID and Access Token
To obtain the Proofpoint Cluster ID and Access Token, use the following steps.
Log in to the Proofpoint portal as an administrator.
Click Settings, then click API Key Management.
Click Create New.
In the Create New API Key section, specify a name and generate the API key.
Record the Cluster ID and API key represented by a string of letters and numbers. Use these values to configure the Proofpoint On-Demand Cloud Collector.
Note
Ensure that you use a unique cluster ID and access token for configuring each cloud collector instance. Multiple Proofpoint On-Demand Cloud Collector instances cannot be configured with a common cluster ID and access token.
