Migrate to the Azure Virtual Network Flow Cloud Collector

The Azure Virtual Network Flow Cloud Collector enables you to ingest logs into the New-Scale Security Operations Platform. If you previously used the Azure Cloud Connector with Azure data source and want to take advantage of the Cloud Collectors service, migration to the new Cloud Collector is recommended. Before you migrate, consider the following:

  • License Requirements: No additional license is required. The Cloud Collectors app is included with your existing license.

  • SaaS Cloud Connectors Support: Both the SaaS Cloud Connectors and the new Cloud Collectors environments can run in parallel.

The following table indicates the Azure Cloud Connector's endpoints that map to the new Azure Virtual Network Flow Cloud Collector.

Note

Azure will fully decommission NSG flow logs in the future. To avoid service disruption, migrate to Virtual Network (VNet) flow logs. Traffic Analytics for NSG flow logs will not be supported and existing resources will be deleted, though log records will follow retention policies.

When you are ready to migrate:

  1. Stop the specific endpoints for the Azure Cloud Connector with Storage Services Cloud Connector.

  2. Wait for the running tasks to complete. The user interface indicates the time required for task completion.

  3. Complete the prerequisites and follow the steps to configure the Azure Virtual Network Flow Cloud Collector.
